Continuing Education 

Continuing Education is being coordinated and sponsored by the Association for the Treatment of Sexual Abusers. A $45.00 administrative processing fee, payable at time of registration, for psychology, social worker and certified counselor CE’s is being assessed by ATSA. The assessed fee will be $55.00 if registering for CE’s on-site at the conference.

A $125.00 adminstrative processing fee, payable at time of registration for physicians is being assessed by ATSA. The assessed fee will be $135.00 if registering on-site at the conference. 
 


Conference Goals and Objectives
The goal of the Annual Research and Treatment Conference is to advance the knowledge and skills of professionals providing services in the field of sexual abuse.

With interdisciplinary approaches, the sessions will present current and relevant research and explore the implications for its use in clinical intervention, proactive intervention techniques and the implementation of solutions to advance the scope of sexual abuse treatment, management and prevention.
 


Psychologists
The Association for the Treatment of Sexual Abusers (ATSA) (Provider #1966) is approved by the American Psychological Association to offer Continuing Education for psychologists. Attendance at the Pre-Conference Seminars earns 6 CE credits for a full-day session; 3 CE credits for a half-day session. Attendance at the 2½ day conference earns 13 credits. ATSA maintains responsibility for this program and its content. 
 

LCSW’s and MFCC’s

Application, for a maximum of 19 credits, is also being made to the National Association of Social Workers (NASW). Social Workers should check with their state board to determine if accreditation from NASW is accepted in their states. Attendance at Pre-Conference Seminars earns 6 CE credits for a full-day session, 3 CE credits for a half-day session. Attendance at the 2½ day conference earns 13 credits.

 

 Certified Counselors 
 Association for the Treatment of Sexual Abusers (ATSA) has been approved by NBCC as an Approved Continuing Education       Provider, ACEP No. 6365. Programs that do not qualify for NBCC credit are clearly identified. ATSA is solely responsible for all     aspects of the programs.  Attending Pre-Conference Seminars earns 6 CE hours for a full-day session and 3 CE hours for a half- 
day session.  Attending the 2 day conference earns 13 hours.  

 
  
Physicians
ATSA Conference is a CME-certified activity and is managed in accordance with the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME)’s Standards for Commercial Support. Supporters are required to adhere to those policies, including separation of education and promotional space. Appropriate acknowledgement of support will be provided to the learners. In support of improving patient care, this activity has been planned and implemented by University of Minnesota, Interprofessional Continuing Education and the Association for the Treatment of Sexual Abusers, Inc. University of Minnesota, Interprofessional Continuing Education is jointly accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), and the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), to provide continuing education for the healthcare team. AMA PRA Category 1 Credit™ for the 2018 ATSA conference provided by the University of Minnesota.


In support of improving patient care, this activity has been planned and implemented by University of Minnesota, Interprofessional Continuing Education and the Association for the Treatment of Sexual Abusers, Inc. University of Minnesota, Interprofessional Continuing Education is jointly accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), and the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), to provide continuing education for the healthcare team.

The University of Minnesota, Interprofessional Continuing Education designates this live activity for a maximum of 19.0 AMA PRA Category Credits™. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

Beginning with the 2009 conference, ATSA is providing continuing education for the annual ATSA research and treatment conference.

For 2014 - 2017 CEs, use your registration email and password to log in. If you are unsure of your password use the 'lost password?' link to set a new password.

Once logged in, click on the 'Attendee Center' link, then 'Surveys' to complete the CE surveys for the specific year. Be sure to print and save the PDF of your CE certificate.
